Who we are
Twikka is operated by Novansa OÜ, a company registered in Estonia (registry code 17445226), Sepapaja tn 6, 15551 Tallinn, Harju Maakond, Estonia. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Novansa OÜ; “you” means you as a user of Twikka. Questions about these terms: [email protected].
1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using the Twikka app or website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Twikka.
2. Who can use Twikka
You must be at least 16 to create an account. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should review these terms with you. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we’ll close it and delete its data.
3. What Twikka is — and isn’t
Twikka helps people become active and stay active, with an AI coach and, if they choose, friends and small groups. Its coaching draws on current physical-activity guidelines and research, reviewed by health professionals.
Twikka is not a medical service, a diagnostic tool, therapy, or a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional. Its coaching and articles are general information and encouragement. Check with a health professional before starting or significantly changing your activity, especially if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or have been inactive for a long time — and stop and seek advice if something hurts or feels wrong.
4. Not an emergency service
Twikka is not a crisis or emergency service, and your conversations are not monitored in real time. If you or someone else is in danger or having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency number straight away. Your coach may share emergency contact details, but it cannot call for help on your behalf.
5. Your AI coach
- Twikka’s coaches are AI. Each coach is a fictional character; their names and portraits are illustrations, not real people.
- AI can make mistakes or misunderstand you. Use your own judgement, and don’t rely on your coach for medical, legal or financial decisions.
- Your coach will always tell you it’s an AI if you ask.
- How your conversations are processed, and when they may be reviewed for safety, is explained in our Privacy Policy.
6. Early access and testing
While Twikka is in testing, it’s free to use. Features may change or be removed, the service may be interrupted, and in rare cases we may need to reset test data — we’ll tell you in advance wherever we can. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve Twikka without owing you anything for it.
7. Your account
You sign in with a code sent to your email, so keep access to your email account secure. You’re responsible for activity on your Twikka account. Twikka accounts are for personal, non-commercial use unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing (for example, a corporate agreement).
8. Partners, groups and your content
You can connect with accountability partners and join groups. The people you connect with see what you choose to share with them. Please be kind and respectful. You must not post or send anything that:
- is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing or hateful
- shares someone else’s personal information without their permission
- infringes anyone’s intellectual property
- impersonates someone, or is spam, advertising or malware
- tries to disrupt, reverse-engineer or compromise Twikka or its security
You can block or report other members from within the app. We may remove content, limit features, or remove members from groups or from Twikka if these rules are broken.
You own what you create in Twikka. You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and display it only to provide the service to you and to the people you choose to share it with.
9. Subscriptions and payments
Twikka may offer free and paid plans. Paid plans are sold through the Apple App Store, Google Play or, on the web, Paddle, which acts as the seller and issues receipts. The store or Paddle processes your payment on its own terms.
- Billing: subscriptions are paid in advance and renew automatically each period (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Cancelling: you can cancel at any time in your app store account, your Paddle account, or the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Price changes: we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice of a price change before it applies to you.
- Refunds: consumer law in your country may give you a right to a refund, and nothing in these terms limits it. App Store and Google Play refunds are handled by those stores.
10. Our intellectual property
The Twikka app, website, coaches, content and design belong to Novansa OĂś or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or reverse-engineer them except as these terms allow or the law permits.
11. Availability
We work to keep Twikka available and working well, but we can’t guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may take it offline for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
12. Our liability
We provide Twikka with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or goodwill, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer under Estonian and EU law.
13. Ending your use of Twikka
You can delete your account at any time in the app’s settings, or by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, harms others, or doesn’t pay fees due, or if we stop providing Twikka — with reasonable notice where we can. Your data is then handled as our Privacy Policy describes.
14. Changes to these terms
We’ll tell you about important changes by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using Twikka after that, the new terms apply.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by Estonian law, and the courts of Estonia can hear disputes. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and can bring a claim in its courts.
16. General
If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
